She went over about 11:00 p.m., called Caroline who stayed with her most of the night. Connie's still there this morning for observations and not sure when they will release her to go home. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

The search for a person who disappeared in the water has been called off for the time being, but is expected to resume later Monday morning.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office said at 9 a.m. Monday that the search had not yet resumed and that they were "working on getting a boat back in the water."

Officials in Beaufort County say crews spent the night searching for a person in Chocowinity Bay who may have drowned Sunday. Helicopters were part of the search team late Sunday night.
Beaufort County Emergency Manager John Pack tells WITN the search was called off around 5 a.m. Monday but will resume later in the morning.

The name of the person crews are looking for has not been released.

Snake Peeks in Janene's Glass Sliding Door!!

"This snake is looking for Tori inside the house......LOL!!

She went to take the dogs to the pen and a snake ran over her foot so she ran back to the house and the sliding door was locked so she ran to the front door and this snake was hitting the glass...he followed her scent to the door. He is a black racer.....Needless to say she will not be helping me clean up the limbs from the wind the other night!!"

News From My Niece in Michigan

"Here is a picture of me with my ski friends at our June picnic. I have been a member of this group for 4 years. It was a lot of fun. I will probably be skiing with these guys this winter up North. I will be on the canoe trip with them this summer. We canoe on the Osabo River. Say Hi to everyone and hope all is well. Your pig roast looked like fun and I am sure everyone had a great time. Sorry I missed it.

I am taking a pottery class 2 time a week and am really enjoying it. Tonight it the red wings game so if we win we get the Stanley cup one more time."

Janene & Grandchildren Visit Susan in Bethel

Visitors Last Sunday

Our friends, Doug & Ute, who travel the country in their RV stopped to visit us last Sunday on the way from their home-base in Naples, Florida, to Virginia for their grandson's high school graduation. We enjoyed their visit and they were able to meet many friends and family members during the day.

Last Saturday at Friend's Birthday Party

Stephanie, a friend of mine who lives in Farmville, was surprised with birthday #40. Family from out of town and local friends were waiting under the back yard tents when she and her family returned from her daughter's softball game mid-afternoon on Saturday. She was wonderfully surprised. A big thank you goes to Constance, our friend who did so much of the planning and preparation.
