Ed's Cousin, Shelton Cherry, Passes Away

WASHINGTON, N.C. - Mr. F. Shelton Cherry, 56, of 6650 Cherry Run Road died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday, Paul Funeral Home. Visitation 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Travis Cherry, 111 Iron Mind Way, Washington, N.C.

Madonna Cherry, Stan's wife, called while we were at the beach to let us know they did not know the cause of death. Shelton had not been sick and was not on any medications. They are performing an autopsy today to see if they can determine what happened.

Myrtle Beach Summer Trip

We just returned from Myrtle Beach and had a great time. The weather was good except for one day when it rained nearly all day! Kevin and Farrish accompanied us. The beach was loaded with sun bathers and fishermen, as the campground had a fishing pier with some exceptional, after-dark music by a SC band!

Ed's Sister, Alma, Celebrates Wedding Anniversary

River Weekend

Ed and I drove the RV down to Aurora for the weekend to see the go-cart racers! (Beth is sending some pictures of the go-carts.)

Ed Jr & Wendy's House after the reconstuction. (Last year the house was pretty much destroyed when the roof was being repaired and a rain storm ended up wetting everything inside the house.)

Fishing-Ed Jr, Sid (a friend) and Larry (Wendy's brother) tried their luck early Sunday morning. The one fish Larry is holding up was the catch of the day!

April & Kevin took the kids out on the pontoon boat for a little adventure a couple of weeks ago when they visited the river. What wonderful memories!
